Hi, I think I now have thoggen in a state where it is actually usable. I've tested it with a couple of different titles, and it all works fine for me (tm), so please give it a spin if you have a couple of spare minutes. Everything, including cropping and picture resizing, should work now. I also get close-to-perfect audio-video sync. If you have problems with the A-V sync, you'll probably need the a52dec plugin from GStreamer CVS (I haven't tested with the last released gst-plugins version, so I don't really know if that's required or not). Here's the tarball [1] http://thoggen.net/temp/thoggen-0.1pre1.tar.gz Let me know how/if it works for you. Oh, one last thing: it's dead slow, I'm afraid. That's mostly because of the suboptimal way the scaling is done, namely using the GdkPixbuf scaler instead of GStreamer's videoscale plugin, which means that two extra colorspace conversions have to be done for each frame. I found that videoscale produced very blocky results when downscaling, which wasn't really acceptable to me. Hopefully I can find some better scaling code somewhere and speed things up in future. For now, I just wanted things to work. Cheers -Tim [1] SourceForge anonymous CVS seems a bit sluggish to sync with developer CVS, thus the tarball .. |
