I'd have to dig that up. Keeping your configs/hostfile on local storage present with certain maintainability issues. You should seriously consider netfiles, and storing your files on a tftp or web server. Also consider using DHCP to set hostnames. Making such reservations will help you track your terminals and control provisioning.

i already tried several hours to set the hostname of several thinstations to internal numbers depending on the mac adress.

 

My Questions are: 

 

     
    * where can i put the thinstation.hosts file that it will be read on startup within the DEVStation 
    * what will then be the right place to configure at STORAGE_CONFIG1= ?
