Anton Borisov has made a couple of wonderful packages for Thinstation for anybody interested in astronomy. Here is what Boris has to say: *** Welcome to a wonderful world of space, sky and navigation. I'd like to introduce three packages more or less connected with astronomic observations, or speaking precisely: Celestia 1.4.1, Free Space Simulation Program Stellarium 0.8.0, Virtual Planetarium XEphem 3.7, Interactive Astronomy Program Some of these programs (especially XEphem) require sometimes a huge database (about several Gb) to run the way they were designed, however it was possible to release them as packages to Thinstation project (was tested with TS2.2rc2). Celestia (C) 2001-2005, Chris Laurel et al. http://celestia.sf.net Stellarium (C) 2000-2006, Fabien Chereau et al. http://www.stellarium.org XEphem (C) 2005 by Elwood Charles Downey http://www.xephem.com http://linux.kaos.ru/download/celestia-1.4.1_TS.2.2.tar.bz2 (MD5 <http://linux.kaos.ru/download/celestia-1.4.1_TS.2.2.tar.bz2%28MD5> = 14429c719c512d860ac0dbd644d000 af) http://linux.kaos.ru/download/stellarium-0.8.0_TS-2.2.tar.bz2 (MD5 <http://linux.kaos.ru/download/stellarium-0.8.0_TS-2.2.tar.bz2%28MD5> = 6c06fc35ec43b4bf73d1b310af97c275) http://linux.kaos.ru/download/xephem-3.7_TS-2.2.tar.bz2 (MD5 <http://linux.kaos.ru/download/xephem-3.7_TS-2.2.tar.bz2%28MD5> = 2d4c111def90011b03644eb5aa21eb91) Please try it and enjoy. |
