Objective specification is a class imported from IAO, and many (but not all) of the subclasses are taken from OntoDM. Are there further classes that haven't been imported, or do we have the complete import in the file? For instance, the objective of blast could be said to be either sequence alignment or sequence identification. These aren't in SWO or in the import from IAO / OntoDM, but perhaps we don't have the full import. If someone could just explain the history, and the preferred way to go about this...

Please note that, in addition to the OntoDM question, there seems to be a discrepancy between the current version of IAO as on their website (seehttp://www.ontobee.org/browser/rdf.php?o=IAO&iri=http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/IAO_0000005) and that within SWO. Specifically, IAO_0000030, which is called "information artifact" in SWO, is called information content entity in IAO. Also, there is an intermediate class between IAO_0000030 and IAO_0000005 (objective specification) called directive information entity. Should these changes be propogated to SWO too?

IAO discrepancy resolved through mailing list. Result is to modify the label to of 'information artifact' to 'information content entity' and not add 'directive information entity' as it isn't required, although of course in IAO 'objective specification' is a child of 'directive information entity'. OntoDM questions still to be resolved so will not close this ticket yet.

No need to import any further OntoDM classes until it is clear that we need them. This ticket can be closed now.
