#21 Escape to minimize scope is incorrect

When you enable the 'Esc' key to minimize, its scope takes precedence over all other windows, including modal windows, which isn't the standard behavior. Steps to reproduce:

1. Check '"Esc" key minimizes' under Preferences.
2. Press Ctrl+F to bring up the Find modal dialogue.
3. You would expect hitting Esc would close the Find dialogue (like in normal text editors), but it actually minimizes the entire application.
