Thanks for reporting this James...this error seems to only occur with this particular version of Windows... http://www.cpantesters.org/show/Text-Similarity.html#0.07 As a result, I'm inclined to say this looks more like a problem with that version of Windows than it does Text-Similarity. The specific error that you are seeing is for one test case that checks to make sure that the order of the words in a string doesn't affect the score... the big cat the cat big Should get the same similarity score... Here is the specific test that is failing... ## this test case was causing trouble for Windows - changed in 0.07 ##$output = `$^X $inc $text_similarity_pl --type Text::Similarity::Overlaps --string 'sir winston churchill' 'winston churchill SIR!!!' `; $output = `$^X $inc $text_similarity_pl --type Text::Similarity::Overlaps --string 'sir winston churchill' 'winston churchill sir' `; chomp $output; is ($output, 1, "order doesn't affect score"); In fact the punctuation in the commented version seemed to cause problems earlier with Windows, not sure what's happening here.... While this might be somewhat risky, you may simply want to force the install and/or comment out this test case to get things installed ok... I wish I could shed more light on this - I normally don't use Windows so I'm not in a really good position to test things out, etc. so any observations you might have would be greatly appreciated.
