I am using pdflatex/latexmk for the generation of a 350 pages book on Butterflies. Everything runs smoothly. But with an new install of texstudio I lost the index. The preamble file is attached, those line pointing to the index a highlighted in gray. Thanks for reading and improving Bernhard |

Hi, In older versions of TeXStudio for windows 10 there was an option to "show a file in explorer" while right-clicking on the file name in the left pane, structure view. It is not possible in newer versions - using 4.2 right now. Is there a way to bring back this option? Thank you |

Maybe, you could provide for higher bandwith at the download server for the beta version. It loaded at 50 Kb/s which is unacceptable. It worked only once. the mychapterthumb.sty which contains the line
\mychapter{title}#L1 was selected in completion, but that does not
survive a restart. The package mychapterthumb.sty itself is used and
started in the preamble. What is wrong here?

For reasons of a thumbindex I redefined with the help of Markus Kohm \chapter into \mychapter. Unfortunate the folding in texstudio no longer works. What do I have to change/add that \mychapter is treated in the same way as \chapter. I have a large book and folding is very usefull to manage the document and the parts of it. Thanks a lot! I have a book fairly well set in latex. I wonder why some word "Urmotten" i.e. Micropterididae some original moths is highlighted in yellow. Can you please explain? I have been sent source files for a manual whose graphics files are of
the form zot.epsi
My TeXStudio 2.12.6 is unhappy at the command \includegraphics{zot}
with the message File 'zot' not found.
Doubtless this is because I have not used the correct package. In the
driver file, I find

Further down the driver I find:

Hi Flo!
You are creating an infinite loop because buildManager.runCommand() will
activate your trigger ?after-command-run again.
You could use the system() command instead of buildManager.runCommand().
Note however, that the trigger is activated after every command (e.g.
also after a simple view) and you may not want to commit on this.
An alternative appoach is to invert the logic and create a custom macro
"Build and commit" that calls the build command and then commits. Then
assign a suitable shortcut. That way, you can have two commands one with
commit and one without and you can decide which to use on a case-by-case
basis.

Hi there!
I'm kind of new to texstudio and I'm struggeling to achive a simple

I want to run a git commit and a git push everytime I hit the "Compile and
View" button.
To implement that feature I created the following lines to a "User Macro":

But for some reason texstudion crashes as soon as I try it (with the

message and maybe redirect the output of the commands to the "Messages" Tab.

Good morning from Greg Bennett who usually runs texstudio under linux mint.
Under windows 10 (build 1803, I think) I have installed texlive2018
without error. I did not
seem to have to build the format files. Then I installed texstudio
2.12.10, again without error.
Trying to compile a file containing just:
\documentclass{amsart}
\begin{document}
Here begins a test $x = y + z$
\end{document}
yielded no results, so I used the configuration options to define the
Pdflatex command as:
"C:/texlive/2018/bin/win32/pdflatex.exe" -synctex=1
-interaction=nonstopmode %.tex
This led to:
Could not star Build&View: Pdflatex:
c:/texlive/2018/bin/win32/pdflatex.exe -synctex=1
-interactiob-nonstopmode "first-document".tex
Process started: "C:/texlive/2018/bin/win32/pdflatex.exe" -synctex=1

Running the command C:\texlive\2018\bin\win32\fmtutil-user.exe kpathsea:

Clearly I have failed to get my configuration correct in some way
and I hope to learn from the list what I need to do to have texstudio
behave uner W10 as if does under Linux.
