Hi,
it would be great if it was possible to show/hide toolbars.
I prefer to hide toolbars since I don't use them anyway (since shortcuts are faster for frequent users) to see more on my screen.
Currently, this is only possible to achieve by removing all items of all toolbars in the advanced options manually.
I'd suggest a menu entry "Toolbars" in "View", below the entry "Messages / Log file" that expands on hovering to allow to show/hide individual toolbars (as it is done for "Grammar errors").
This would save a lot of work if I want the toolbars back one day.
Cheers,
Anton
PS: I hope this is not already implemented or a duplicate ... but I couldn't find anything like that.
Btw.: Thanks for such a terrific Latex editor :-)

You can right click on the toolbar to set the visibility
"You can right click on the toolbar to set the visibility."
-> That is exactly the feature I asked for :-)
However, I think it's rather hidden, because if there is a menu entry "View", I'd expect that it is there. But others may find it intuitive as it is ...

Oh, it is an old dicussion. But, I would also love to be able to hide the toolbar.
Did you read Benitos comment above?
I don't get his comment.Right clicking the toolbar gives me the menus; I see no Visibility as choice.

The entries in the context menu refer to the different toolbars. Some of them have identical names to menus because they basically contain functionality from there.
Thank you for the explanation. I found the same reply in StackExchanges.
Still, the original suggestion is great; a toolbar that could be hidden and brought forward with a shortcut could be very useful. I would agree with the original suggestion: Hide the (main) tool bar/show the main toolbar, under the View menu would be great--because, here, I have to untick each submenu (takes time); plus, I don't know how to bring the submenus back once the whole menu is gone.
Most users don't change the toolbars at all. And if they do, they will probably just do it once. Therefore it's tolerable to invest five seconds to uncheck each toolbar separately. Implementing would cost time for the developers and we've so many more significant things on the todo list.
You can always click on the menu bar.
