Would be nice, if the comment environment would be recognized as comment such as line based comments with % do.

namingly:
\begin{comment}
...ab
arbitrage large comment
multiple lines long
with stuff
\end{comment}

Should be made grey in the editor text. Further, texstudio does not need to try syncing this with the viewed pdf file and jump to wrong highlighted blocks..

    Thanks for the idea. Implementing the \begin{comment} \end{comment} stuff should not be too difficult. But I don't think we will support the sytax \excludecomment{versiona} \versiona ... \endversiona

    As for the syncing, it may still be a good idea to move the viewer to a 'close' position. However, you are right that nothing should be highlighted in this case.
