I use the extended search function more than any other thing. It is one of the most used feature in Textudio.

Texstudio takes the active document as default for the Extended Search. I am requesting for the user to be able to determine the default. I personally want the All Docs to be the default for the extended search because I tend to work with Sessions more often than with projects.

Do I understand this correctly, that the issue arises one after each start of TeXstudio? During the session, your setting persists?

In that case, I suggest not to add a configurable option, but to store the current setting and reuse it after startup.

Yes, you have understood it perfectly. I totally agree with your suggestion. Reusing the state within the saved session is right solution.

Saving a Session where I set "All Docs" as searching choice, and openning the session, I am getting back to the "Current doc" default. I don't think this feature is implemented.
