Hi, I would appreciate such a feature as well. I have been working for years now using a screenshot utility. In my case I use TexStudio to create Gregorian chants. The major problem there is, that lines are, even though they are originally of the same sickness, not generally displayed as such on a monitor. Depending on its resulation, there are lines which are thinner than others, and that makes the png file that is created by screenshot a bit ugly or harder to read. Besides, it seems there are easy ways nowadays to create png files using LaTEX - this request is almost ten years old, it would be nice if you could reconsider.

I don't think this is a reasonable feature. Use a screenshot utility instead. They offer more functionality.

txs is the text editor.
If LaTeX offers easy ways to make png, what do you need txs for? Just call the tool or write script.
