Have seen this issue for quite long time. I edit the figure in Origin and add some characters\symbols like \Delta and \tau before I export the pdf. Then I compile it in TXS, the symbol \Delta changes to something else such as \Eta. Small but very annoying issue. After I submit the paper, I realize some symbols changed... Reviewer asked what the heck that symbol means...

Had to switch back to Winedt for the final print out. Please help. Is it a bug or some configuration I need to do? Many thanks,

Texstudio does not influence the compilation of a latex source code.
If winedt produces different results, it means that it uses different
options for compiling the latex source.
You should figure out yourself how your source needs to be compiled.
This is not a txs issue.
