For my own custom shortcuts, I currently use use \usepackage{shortcuts} in the preamble, where my shortcuts are saved in shortcuts.sty. I'd like these shortcuts to show up as auto completion suggestions. I've tried saving it as a .cwl file, but it ends up saving as .cwl.tex. I can't seem to get it to work, even after thoroughly reading the manual.

What do I need to do to get this to work? I'm not very fluent with LaTeX, so if it's not too much trouble, could instructions please be given in more explicitly? Thank you.

the file needs to placed where texstudio.ini is located.
      On linux it is ~/.config/texstudio
