When I write \cite in TeXstudio I would expect to obtain an autocompletion
list with the items in the bibliography (I do not use bibtex). However, such a
list does not appear. Is there a way to configure this feature properly?

is the command \bibliography{file} present in your document ?

  • Nobody/Anonymous

No, it isn't. But, if I'm not mistaken, this command is for using bibtex, and
'file' must be the .bib file. But I'm interested in this feature without
having to use bibtex. I simply use the thebibliography environment. Do you
know if it is possible? Thanks.

seems that i has not worked in txs 2.3, implemented in svn version of txs

I don't understand, sorry. Do you say that this cite autocompletion for
bibitem items is not implemented in txs 2.3? Can one change some settings to
    add this functionality?

cite autocompletion for bibitem items is not implemented in txs 2.3.
The next version of txs will contain it. Right now you need to use bibtex.

    Ok, thank you!
