Custom Keyboard Problem

I am having an odd problem with a custom keyboard I am using.

    This is:
Texstudio 2.4 (also present in 2.3)
    OSX 10.7.5

Using the program 'ukelele' I set up a keyboard that outputs latex macros to
making typing faster. All of these shortcuts work in all other programs, but a
number do not work in texstudio.

Examples that work are all set up as dead keys, for example, alt+u u outputs
    \"{u} to tex studio, alt+n n outputs \~{n}, etc.

    Examples that do not work:

    alt+w should output '$\omega$', but outputs 'w'
alt+a should output '{\aa}', but outputs simply 'a'
alt+o should output '{\o}', but simply outputs '{'

I can provide more examples of working or non-working key combinations if
needed. I love texstudio, but this annoying bug is keeping me from switching
    100%.

Sorry, I can't say much on this. Currently non of the developers is using OSX,
so we cannot really test to find out the reason. It may be the way ukulele
sends the strings to the program. It may be a Qt bug or it may be an issue in
    TXS.
Do you know how these strings are passed to the programs? Is is really a
    sequence of key presses?
