I'm new to texstudio. It's a great tool and I really like it.

But one problem is that the spelling check can not work properly in my mac. I found in the configure menu, the 'Default Language' for 'Dictionaries' is set to , and there's no other choice. The dic files actually did exist under /Applications/

Can anyone tell me why this happend? Thanks

It appears that the dictionaries are not found. I don't know why.

Is the path in Config -> General -> Spelling Dictionary Directory correct?

If so, and it still does not work, try copying the dictionaries to another location and point the Spelling Dictionary Directory there.

    Please report back the outcome.

Thanks Tim. I moved the dictionaries to another folder and point there, now it works!

Looks like the 'Spelling Dictionary Directory' can not access to the default folder, which is '/Applications/'
