    Hi there.
I am new to LaTeX and I am stuck on something. Well I am stuck on a lot of things, but there is a specific question i was hoping to get some advice on. How do i get Texstudio to close acrobat reader, compile and reopen external viewer? It is a pain to close and reopen manually.

Generally, I'd recommend using the internal viewer because it offers a much better syncing between source and pdf. An external viewer should only be necessary if you have very special needs.

See https://sourceforge.net/p/texstudio/feature-requests/650/ on how to configure automatic closing of Adobe Reader.

Or you can use SumatraPDF which does not need to close as you recompile your documents

Acrobat reader is not recommended to be used with latex anymore, afaik.
