i work mainly with splited tex file. so a root file and files for each
chapter. i found that the sturcture view of tex studio is kind of messy. i
tell you why. If i've a the master doc with chapter files, every time i click
on a chapter file, which are listed as section of the master's doc, the
chapter file is added at the structure view below the master doc. Like if it
is a separate file.
basically, i end up with plenty of files in the structure view even if they
all belong to the same root.
is there a way to set that all the files that are not master doc are not shown
as new entity in the structure view but just stay as item of the master doc?
You seem to have CSS turned off.
Please don't fill out this field.
Not really. The structure view is still file-based and not document-based.
Plans exist to change that in the future.
As a workaround:
You can reduce "the mess" by right-click on the document in the structure view
and selecting "View only current document". Then open all required documents,
and change between documents via the list of open documents (right-click to
the document tab)
