I am using Texstudio 2.7.0 on Windows XP3

TeXStudio frequently turn to be very slow and take up large memory on my system. See the attached figure for TeXStudio using 665MB. It sometimes uses 1G and is still very slow.

What is the normal memory usage of TeXStudio? Is 600MB or 1G a normal usage?

If not, can someone help find the memory bug and improve. Thanks.

By default, TXS acquires up to 512MB for image caching to speed up the display of PDF pages. You can configure this in the options (need advanced options enabled):
Preview -> Full Page PDF Preview -> Cache Size

      How to enable advanced options?

I have the same problem in Linux. After compiling multiples times, the memory can reach more than 2 GB and raise every time I compile. I tried to looking for the option "Preview -> Full Page PDF Preview -> Cache Size" in advance mode but I didn find it. Note, I used the viewer in windowed mode.
