For those versions of TeXstudios which based on Qt 4.8.5 there are troubles with using non-standard windows keyboard layouts like Birman's one (http://ilyabirman.net/projects/typography-layout/). It is a well known problem of Qt 4.8.5 and that do impossible to use TeXstudios version since 2.6.2. For example when I'm typing text I get some extra (mostly diacritic) signs:
"Nõw I'm typing this text and havě got a lot of strånge signs which I would not like to have at all."

Since it's a Qt issue, we cannot directly target it. Do you know if it works with Qt4.8.4 or Qt5? We may be able to provide a build on an alternative Qt version in the future.

    Dear Tim,

    Thank you for your reply!
It seems the problem concerns exactly Qt ver. 4.8.5. So, I rolled back to TeXstudio ver. 2.6.0 and currently I am working with it (this version is based on Qt4.8.4). By the way from time to time some spurious characters are still appearing, but it is so rarely so it almost doesn't interrupt me.

I tried the snapshot (texstudio271_snapshot_2014-04-01_win_qt5.exe/download) you recommended and at first glance it seems that there is no such problem as with Qt4.8.5. Nevertheless, it is known that Qt5 is still insufficiently stable, unfortunately. Nobody knows how it can behave in different cases. But I will try to use that shapshot for some time and I hope no critical troubles will appear.

    Bjo

assume fixed by changing to Qt 5.
