#2205 Greek polytonic input broken

Up until now, I was using TeXstudio 2.8.4 in debian 8 jessie and the following was working fine.

Now in debian 9 stretch with txs 2.11.2, I got the follwoing problem: When I try to type greek polytonic letters, I am not able to get the "spiritus" into TeXstudio by direct keyboard input. For example ἐ ἑ and so on ... try for example the key right of L + shift and then an E, it should result in ἐ. This is not a problem of MATE (the DE I am using), as in all other programs (libreoffice, console and - as you can see here - firefox) it is working fine.

If the answer is: "Install latest TeXstudio" -- which file do you suggest for debian 9?

Which Qt version are you using? This might be a Qt bug, e.g.

Hmm, looks like qt4 and qt5 are installed, how can I exactly check that?

Using qt 5.7.1., compiled with 5.6.1 R -- could this be the problem?

I have activated the debian 9 build.
You can find the .deb (amd64) here:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jsundermeyer/Debian_9.0/amd64/

You should use texstudio-qt4-2.12.6 (current RC) as it seems to be a qt5 bug, not present on qt4 builds.

First I installed the qt5-variant, it had the same problem.

Then I saw your edit and took the qt4-one, and it worked fine – so I'm happy.

Is this something I can forward to the debian developers to be added to the next point release or what would you do?
