TeXstudio 2.12.2 (hg 6381:c3413e45ac96)
Using Qt Version 5.6.2, compiled with Qt 5.6.2 R

I have freshly compiled my 500+ pages book and try to "Go to PDF". This is possible for large parts of the book, but for some sections it does not work. For subsection 4.7.3 it does while for subsection 4.7.5 it does not.

I have restarted my desktop win7-64 and loaded txs again. There is only skype in the background running. How to debug this? Which files do you need to check? This is very new and I didnot update txs recently. Please advise how to proceed. This is annoying but not fatal.

this looks rather like a synctex problem which is part of pdflatex

What do you propose and where to raise a bug report?

I did raise a bug report some days ago: http://tug.org/pipermail/tex-live/2017-March/039781.html. Karl Berry forwarded it to some people who can perhaps do something about it but it is quite unclear if and when it can be resolved.

Some time ago, I've been in contact with Jerome on the source code of synctex. As a result he has created a github repo:.https://github.com/jlaurens/synctex

IMO this is the most official place for synctex, I suggest collecting bugs there. Even though I'm unsure if Jerome will still work on the code himself.

Actually, the problems which have been reported do not resemble the one I have encountered. But I will wait for an synctex-update to dig deeper.
