It's not really a bug, but I behavior of TS which seems a bit weird to me. Maybe there is a good reason why it should behaves like this, but I don't see it.
1) In TS, open a file path/main.tex
2) in this file there is a \include{Chapter/MyFirstChapter}. Open the file "MyFirstChapter" (either by clicking on it in the structure view, or by Ctrl+Click on the name in the \include{...})
3) next time I open a file in TS, the "Open file" window is "located" in the folder path/Chapter. I think it would be more logical if it would be located in the folder path, where the "parent" tex file is located.
txs uses the directory of the current document as starting point for opening files.
I don't see why the parent folder is a more preferable directory, as one would assume that you want to open further documents in ./chapter ?

I see what you say. With the situation I described before, you are right, it is more likely that I want to open further documents in ./chapter. That was not the best example.
The "problem" I have is that the next time I open TS, I want to open the main file first, before opening anything else (otherwise the compilation would not work). But the "open window" is still located in ./chapter.
Does the "problem" makes more sense now?

not really.
For this you have "restore session",Option/general/automatically restore previous session and "open recent" ...
(assuming that you are talking about starting txs anew)

Thanks. You are right. I did not think of that. Sorry for this useless post.
