In the menu File > Open Recent any filename containing an underscore has the underscore not displayed and the letter following the underscore is underlined.

I'm on Ubuntu 14.04 using TeXstudio 2.6.6 (hg 4099) Using Qt Version 4.8.6, compiled with Qt 4.8.4 D.

Attached is a screenshot showing the problem.

that does not happen here with a most recent version.
Can you try to update txs to a more recent version ? 2.9.4 is latest.

OK, I will just wait until Ubuntu has this version by default. Sorry for the late reply: I was away from my computer for a while.
