I use TeXnicCenter (version Beta 6.01) and MiKTeX
(version 2.0) running under MS Windows 98.

I use the Kluwer style to build the .PDF file of the
camera-ready-copy of a book.
The author name of one chapter is Peter Břm.
After compilation the author name in the chapter title
is correct but the table of contents shows B1řm
instead of Břm.

The error disappears if I erase the "\OT 1" in the
following line of the "book.toc" file:
{\noindent \tocauthorfont \relax Pieter B{\OT 1\o }m}
and I compile again.

I would like to avoid such cleaning operation.

Could you help me please?

The attached compressed directory contains the
source and compiled files.

This is not a problem related to TXC. But I'd be glad to help.
However, the file wasn't attached (don't forget to check the
checbox above the path to your file). Have you tried deleting
the toc and aux files? What font encoding do you use? What
    input encoding do you use?
