  1. Consider, I typed a russian word "слово" in the editor.
  2. Then I accidently put a backslash ("\") before it.
  3. (Expected result): I see the word with a backslash before it ("\слово")
  4. (Actual(wrong) result): The TxC displays the typed word in the wrong encoding (sometimes with strange dyacritic symbols).

Moreover, when I try to select some of the letters of this word the letters may change to its normal form.

More specifically, the problem takes place when the first letter after "\" is russian

I do understand that russian letter after backslash in non-sence, however such TxC's editor behaviour is obviously wrong and a bit annoying.

I have the same problem, but for me it's very annoying.

I want to use my own LaTeX commands with russian names. LaTeX normally process such commands, but TxC display its incorrectly. If this is some feature of TxC then I want to have possibility to disable it.

I have also this problem. It actually affects any non-ASCII character following a backslash.
