#8 Definable wrap column

In the current version, the text is always wrapped at
the right window edge. It should be possible for the
user to specify a wrap column. At that column there
should be drawn a vertical line in the editor window.
This line should also be movable by mouse.

Do you want to insert hard line breaks or just make an soft line wrap?

carefull about comments and formulas inside the tex-file. When hard-
wrapping a comment you need to add the comment sign (%). And wrapping
formulas, either hard or soft, is a bad idea - I see a lot of problems coming

But wrapping the text is a very good idea. We need this

No, for the first I will only give the user a possiblity to
limit the width of the text using the already available
dynamic breaking algorithm. I am working with TXC on 19"
displays and when breaking the lines at the window edge,
the lines are really really long.

But nevertheless, we will have to implement even hard line
breaking some day, because many users, who are working at
their TeX-projects at different places (Windows at home and
**ix at work/university) don't like the dynamic wrapping of
TXC, because they are getting very long lines, when editing
the files with other common TeX editors (vi, emacs, etc.).

But as Tino alreay posted, hard wrapping won't be that easy
to implement and for daily work I even prefer the dynamic
wrapping. So lets wait with hard wrapping, until version
    1.0 has been released.

    Best Regards...

The lack of this feature, i.e. definable right margin and
auto insertion of hard returns (and the lack of some kind of
script language or at least definable insertions) is the
main reason i don't use TeXnic Center. We need this feature!
