For example when trying to create a new project, a browser pops up that allows selecting a destination folder. This browser only shows normal folders, not shortcut folders.
To reproduce (Windows 7 x64):
- Create a folder on the Desktop.
- Right-click on the folder and create a shortcut.
- Open Texniccenter and open the create-project dialog, open the file-browser, browse to Desktop, and only the normal folder is visible, not the shortcut.
In Windows 7, network drives or often not mounted as local drives anymore, so it is not possible with Texniccenter to create new projects on a network drive.
Create a project locally, then copy it to network drive. Then it can be used normally, by double-clicking on the .tcp file.
On my Windows 7 (x64) machine, I have on my Desktop several shortcut folders that are backed by either network drives or links to local folders. This is where I store documents, so it would be nice to have them accessible via the file-browser.
