I like the simplicity of making templates in TXC, but there's one thing that I think it could be improved.

My documents are in 95% of cases a bunch of few files which are organized in the following folders/files order:

============================
./
- main.tex
./tex
- chapter1.tex
- chapter2.tex
- chapter3.tex
- ...
./fig
- figure1.pdf
- figure2.pdf
- figure3.pdf
- ...
============================

Currently, if you select the "./" folder for the root of the project template, the new project will be created only with the file "main.tex", and the rest of the subfolders/files will be ommited. I think it would be much better if all the subfolders and files in them would be copied as well.

    The feature has been added to the official feature list.

    Thank you for your report.

    I could imagine that such a collection of files needs to live in a subdirectory and TXC needs to understand somehow that this directory is not just another category, but a single project. For example, it could be like this

    <Path to Project Templates>\<Category>\<Project>

    In other words, the first dir gives the category, the second dir is considered to hold a complete project. Still, we need to find out what the main file of that project is. I would propose that it shall be names like the directory <Project>.

    I think that having the same name for the project folder and the main file is more or less logical assumption. At least with the workflow that I have.

    However, it has to be noted that there might be other files in "root" folder as well. Like bibliography files and styles, custom packages, etc. So these files should be "copied" upon making new project as well.
