selected object not TexMaths (TexMaths 0.38, libre office 4.0.5.2)

When trying to edit a previously created TexMaths equations I sometimes get:
The selected object is not a TexMaths equation...
Please unselect it and call the macro again...
I understand this was previously resolved (and I hate to be the bearer of bad news) but the problem seems to persist with libre office 4.0. The link below is when it was originally reported:
https://sourceforge.net/p/texmaths/bugs/25/
I have attached my example. I am not sure what created this problem. I hate to use the word "randomly", but without any warning my equations are no longer able to be edited. Requiring me to completely retype them in writer.
Please see the attached example of this problem. Thank you for your help!
by the way, if you right click on the TexMaths object and select "description", Libre office will confirm that it is a TexMaths object. Still, it wont load with TexMaths.
Hi,
TexMaths is right: your equation is not a TexMaths equation because when you right click on it and select "Description", the description string is empty, while it should contain something like: 12§display§A .
You can restore your equation by copying this string into the description string.
Now the question is: why do you have an empty description string? It's perhaps a TexMaths bug, but it's more probably due to the LibreOffice API, which is not very reliable. Anyway, I don't have such problems on my system (Debian wheezy with LibreOffice 4.0.5) and I've already written docs with more than 100 equations...
However, if you're able to reproduce the bug, tell me, then I'll fix it.

Hello Roland!
I also have the problem of empty title and description string (with no 'TexMaths' as the title and the latex code as the description), when I insert an equation in svg format. However, when the equation is in png format, everything is OK. My OS is Debian Wheezy 7.2. LibreOffice version is 3.5.4. TexMaths version is 0.38.
In addition, I have tested svg equation on Windows 7 with the same LibreOffice and TexMaths version, everything work fine!
Please provide some help or suggestions, thank you!
I am not sure how to reproduce it (very hard to tell when it happens). However, it just happened again for a very big equation.
Is there a work around to fixing the description? Or when the description is lost is it just an image at that point? How can I still access the latex source?
Thanks
just throwing this out there, but maybe it has to do with the short cut key I'm using? I set it to ctrl+M and when I did that libre office said it deactivated the previous configuration for that shortcut. Here is what it does originally though:
Ctrl+M Removes direct formatting from selected text or objects (as in Format - Clear Direct Formatting)
I am running: Windows 7 home premium sp 1 64 bit

The same random behavior happens also on OpenSUSE-12.3,
Repository: LibreOffice-Stable
Name: libreoffice
Version: 4.0.3.3.5-2.1
Arch: x86_64
Help/About libreoffice: Version 4.0:build-305 (Build ID: 400m0(Build:305))
Using impress, not writer.
I'm new to TexMaths (vary useful, thanks a lot !), and
the cause of this behavior is still elusive.
A hint for other users searching for this problem :
avoid double clicking the object, because it enters the group,
and then of course "The selected object is not a TexMaths equation."
double click outside and select again the equation to be back to normal.
But there remain the random problem...
I'll wait for a more recent version to appear in the LibreOffice-Stable repo.
I am experiencing the same problem. I am using LibreOffice Impress Version 4.0.2.2 under Linux Mint. Although I can sometimes edit the equations very often I get the message above. I am going to resort to saving the latex command in the description box for the time being. Even with this bug I find texmaths very useful.
One way to reproduce this systematically is as follows:
1) create a new equation
2) Undo
Step 2) doesn't remove the new object created by 1), but undoes "Change object description of group object".
I suspect this happens often when undoing one step too much (e.g. undoing moving the equation around, it's easy to inadvertently invoke an 'undo' too much)
It would be nice indeed to have a more transparent undo mechanism of equation creation, which removes the full object equation instead.
Great piece of software though!
OK, now I can reproduce the bug, and I've seen it only happens in Impress and Draw, not in Writer. I'll try to fix it very soon.
Thanks a lot.

This should be fixed in TexMaths 0.41.
Thanks for the bug report.
It seems to work fine. And the "recompile all" is great, thanks !
I am having this problem with LibreOffice 4.2 on Ubuntu 14.04 with TexMaths 0.42.
I have just seen the same problem in Writer. I found following issue caused the problem:
right click -> Description shows 12§display§a = x§svg§600§FALSE§
This equation can no longer be opened in texmaths.
change description (remove last character) 12§display§a = x§svg§600§FALSE
Then it works fine.
Not sure if it is a version issue (document has been edited on two different computers), or if it's a LibreOffice problem.
Excuse me, previously when I editted my equation by clicking it and opening TexMath window, done succesfully. But after typing something (I don't know what i do) on Blank of "Name", and Running my equation (on the LaTeX form), and want to edit it, Fail to be editted and shown this massage "The selected object is not a TexMaths equation...
Please unselect it and call the macro again..."
Thanks for your help
