#184 Error message: your version of LibreOffice is too old

Starting TexMaths in LibreOffice 7.3.7 on Ubuntu 22.04 gives the error message "Your version of LibreOffice is too old".

On http://roland65.free.fr/texmaths/install.html the version requirement is LibreOffice 3.3.3 or later. In the README-filie in TexMaths-0.52.oxt the version requirement says LibreOffice Writer and Draw (version 7.2 or later). On https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/texmaths-1 it says Version 3.3 for the 0.52 version.

LibreOffice 7.3.7 is what currently ships with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, which is the latest LTS version of that operating system.

Is the version requirement wrong in the readme (the website is probably wrong) and on the download page? Which version of TexMaths is the most recent one to support LibreOffice 7.3?

Hi, you're right, there are errors in the website and extension site.
TexMaths 0.52 requires at least LibreOffice 7.4.
I strongly advice you to update to the latest LibreOffice version (24.2.2). You can use a ppa for that (https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa) or wait until Ubuntu 24.04.

Thank you for your reply.
Updating with the ppa is not an option for us - it would involve nearly 2000 devices and I really don't want that to go wrong.
But I'll give TexMaths 0.51 a go ...
