#171 Cannot find latex.fmt

I can generate equations in text mode just fine, but when trying to render images I receive the error

This is pdfTeX, Version 3.141592653-2.6-1.40.25 (TeX Live 2023/Arch Linux) (preloaded format=latex)
 \write18 enabled.
I can't find the format file `latex.fmt'!

I haven't seen anything on how to resolve this for this extension specifically. Help would be appreciated!

Hi, that's not a TexMaths problem but a LaTeX problem.
Googling withe the error message gave me a possible solution. Could you try that?

sudo texconfig rehash
