This is a list of "developers offering", not "users requesting".

DEFINITE
- new website (me)
- new vertical spacing (joe)
- autobeaming (carl)
- tablature (marc / maybe carl)
- ajax search (reinhold): either definitely add, or definitely reject
(mao, there's a lot going on at the moment.  Apologies; this gets
     bumped another week)
- go through issue list, checking if issues still exist, bringing things
to attention if I think they're easily fixable, etc. (me)

MAYBE   (great if they're done, but probably not release-critical)
- new chord naming facility (thomas)
- text cresc/decresc/dim feature (reinhold)
(maybe delayed due to convert-ly/syntax concerns)

decide what qualifies as a release_blocker, so I'll leave it up to you guys.

I will not open the following issues unless someons gives me a clue:
    - chord naming
    - vertical spacing redesign
    - tablatures
    - autobeaming

(I suspect some of these features actually deal with issues that are already there, I
just don't know how to connect the dots. Any help appreciated.)

      o) With stretching, the staves are too close to the header and footer
      o) a system-separator-markup collides with bar numbers
      o) multiple lyrics lines cannot be spaced at all (IIRC)
      o) Multiple choir staves on a pages should be stretched lesse, instead
there should be more space between the systems.
-) converty-ly rules (will probably be quite complicated!) for the vertical
       spacing changes

About the AJAX feature: While the search is not perfect (searches only the
index terms), once you have used it, you can't live without it any more... I'm now
    always using http://kainhofer.com/~lilypond/ajax/
I agree we should now really start looking at this!

I don't think we need convert-ly rules for vertical spacing changes.  I mean, yes,
that would be nice, but I'm not going to delay the release for them.  Tweaks are
always subject to change without automatic updating.

The ajax stuff is waiting for me to look at the server, which is waiting for an
actual 2.13.6 release, which is waiting for mingw to be fixed, some kind of answer
about whether it's broken on all OSX 10.5 boxes or only the non-English ones, and
maybe even for the broken links in the docs to be fixed.  Don't hold your breath.  :(

Most of them don't seem to have any effect any more, so anyone adjusting the
vertical layout using a \paper block will be left out in the cold. So, that's
probably the majority of scores, which will have broken vertical layout...

If you deem that acceptable, then we can certainly also break the seldom-used text
\cresc commands without proper convert-ly rule.

    DEFINITE
    - check regtests

to attention if I think they're easily fixable, etc. (me)

    - finish translation infrastructure for new website + docs (John)
    - send PO to free translation project (dunno what this means, but that's John's job)
