And the last sentence is too concise. woff font file is required in which case?
I think it should be rephrased. Let's see if I guess it right:
LilyPond woff files contain only music glyphs and not text.
Using the woff file properly means using only music glyphs and not text. (???)
If your input file contains text and you want to use this option, you must install a woff font file in the system (BTW, "system" might be easier to grasp than "SVG viewer environment").
If my assumptions are correct (which I totally doubt), I would rewrite it as:

LilyPond does not contain woff font file for text (only for notation glyphs). This implies that if your input file contains text and you want to use this option, you must install a woff font file in the system.
"""

@Ralph: Did you intend making yourself the owner of this issue? If so, you should also set the Status to Started.
I wasn't sure if Ralph had a patch (I didn't see any rietveld link) so assumed that his name was entered as an 'owner' by mistake. I have a patch done but am struggling getting git-cl to work. If I cannot get git-cl working I will upload the patch here so that we don't have others duplicating work.
