Been on countdown now for more than 2 days, blocking another issue, in spite of a GLISS-related discussion on that issue, no comment has been made in that respect on this patch, it does not add new user-level functions/keywords but "merely" extends an existing one.
Adam, regarding issue 2002 in the aspect of actually introducing a new keyword: I would oppose that in a discussion, and Graham would currently even oppose a discussion. But personally I'd very much appreciate it if you turned your patch in the discussed manner into a documentation how a user might create \hideNote himself. And if you still feel, once the time for discussing new user interfaces to existing functionality is open again, that a predefined command is warranted, feel free to bring it up again. You won't likely get my vote (once I have made my mind it is hard to turn around), but you might persuade enough others.
