There will be a SIG meeting at the TEI meeting in November.
The main task to discuss and bring forward is the Object element, discussed at the list in April. Should we stay outside of msdescription or should we go in? Should we make a super element with the elements for objects which are manuscripts as sub-elements? Should be keep clear of the whole ms problem for the time being? Forever?
It would be very good if people could come to the meeting with ideas about this, and more use cases for a new/updated element would be great!
Other business will also be on the agenda, of course. Please send items for discussion to me or to the list within the next week or so.
This is a draft agenda for our meeting, which will be at RUDDER TOWER 501 at 9 am tomorrow.
• Last year's activities
• If interest: background for the SIG
• Discuss the object element
• If interest: presentations
• General discussion
Could you please comment on the agenda and ask for items to be added, if applicable?
I would also like to have an indication who of you will be coming to the meeting.
Please find the minutes from the SIG meeting at http://www.tei-c.org/SIG/Ontologies/meetings/m20121109.html
To those who where there: thank you for a very stimulating discussion! And please comment on errors in the minutes.
Connected to the minutes you can also find a summary of the discussion on the list from April and a document from Brent Nelson.
