Dear all I honestly thought our meeting was scheduled to Friday morning. In the current programme it is on Saturday. I will try move it back to Friday. I clearly fill the role as an absent minded scholar. Chr-Emil Some weeks ago I sent an email with some suggestions for the meeting. I did read the main programme with my glasses on, so I did not see the that Sebastian Rahtz will present his work in the main programme on Thursday. The time slot for the meeting is only 90 minutes. I suggest we go through Øyvind's list of topics and: Sebastian write "my work is really all about people, and places, and dates; which is one interesting area. Then there is the bibliographical metadata (like ECCO) which is worth looking at. And then there is the whole question of general RDF in TEI, discussed in some detail at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3309894&group_id=106328&atid=644065 as a feature request. I think a review of that request, and proposal of an answer, would be very worthwhile" The sourceforge request is indeed interesting and it also fits well with issues in Øyvind's list as well as a part of the discussion in the paper written by Øyvind Eide and me about TEI and CRM (edd.uio.no/artiklar/tekstkoding/Lit_Linguist_Computing-2009-Ore-161-72.pdf). Personally I am working a practical exercise on how to store real world information found in registers and entries in Regesta Norvegica and Diplomatarium Norvegicum (two printed editions of transcripts and information about Norwegian Medieval Charters) together with TEI encoded versions of the texts. Som ideas can be found in a presentation I gave at Digital Diplomatics two weeks ago (edd.uio.no/artiklar/tekstkoding/C-E_Ore_digdipl2011.pdf). Regards, Christian-Emil |
