Ron noticed that in the Oxygen plugin package, the ODD template at tei/templates/TEI P5/ has an .xml extension, while the identical file in tei/templates/TEI ODD/ has an .odd extension. It's not clear whether there's a reason for this, or it's an error. Filing a bug so we don't lose track of it.
The document type in the Oxygen plugin is defined by the filename pattern *.odd, so the .xml version will presumably (for instance) validate against the "wrong" schema.
Council 2015-05-29: MH to check with SR whether there's any history or significance to this; if not, standardize on .odd (because that's part of the definition of the ODD document type in the Oxygen TEI ODD.framework document).
are you talking about the file "ODD customization.xml"? that has
<?xml-model
lines to say which schema to use (tei_odds.rng). so the TEI ODD framework isn't used to say what to do with that.btw, don't forget that its a template. you still have to save your file under whatever extension you choose.
I may be misunderstanding, but red herring, I think
I just went back and looked through the plugin tree, and I'm no longer seeing what I used to be seeing, so either Ron fixed it or I did, or it was some hangover from an old version that got refreshed at some point. I'll close the ticket.
