#722 DOI example in idno not actually a DOI

No

In the Guidelines, the line in the <idno> example reads:

<idno type="DOI">http://dx.doi.org/10.1000/123</idno>

However, the resolver URL is not part of the DOI. Therefore, the example should be changed into

<idno type="DOI">10.1000/123</idno>

The example discussed in https://sourceforge.net/p/tei/bugs/63/ seems wrong too, because of the doi: prefix.

Agree. My proposal is to make the change. I am going to raise another ticket to change also the example in the Guidelines tet at
    http://www.tei-c.org/release/doc/tei-p5-doc/en/html/CO.html#COBICOL

Lou I updated this tickets before seeing your change, but it is still wrong since formally a DOI doesn't have a scheme. With it is a URI with DOI scheme which has been superseded by INFO-DOI URI scheme
