CH-LanguagesCharacterSets.xml
/div/div[1]/p[1]/list[1]/item[2]

The value of the attribute <att>xml:lang</att> identifies the language using a coded value. For maximal compatibility with existing processes, modelling this value in the following way is recommended (this parallels the modelling of <att>xml:lang</att>):

Comment: This is circular: "this value" should probably refer to <langUsage>.

Thank you for the report. You're quite right, this is off. But it's worse than you think. At first blush:

    • modelling the following way is not recommended, it is required
    • the <list> that follows this passage (which is actually at /div/div[1]/p[2]) has only 1 child <item>
    • the bit that follows describes how to use ISO 639-2; I am pretty sure ISO 639-2 codes are not permitted (many of the BCP 47 codes are the same, of course, including the "grc" used as an example)
    • the Oxford comma is missing in "While language, region and script"
    • and, of course, the passage you flag is circular, and even when repaired, somewhat redundant
