I’m testing the new version of teemip-cable-mgmt and created some cables. I noticed that when picking for example the physical interfaces on both ends of a direct network cable doesn’t automatically fill in the interface’s remote physical interfaces fields. That’s why the cable is not graphically displayed in wiring paths. Isn’t this meant to happen or is this planned for the future?

Actually, creating a cable doesn't update any of the objects it is connecting. The reverse is true: connecting 2 objects doesn't automatically create the corresponding cable. This could be done in at a later stage.
However, when device connections are changing, cables may be changes as well.
