I am unable to duplicate the crash so far. First off, can you view any other design in 3D?
Try the following adjustment. Go to the main menu (the smiling devil) and look for menu option Maintenance, sub menu Configuration. Select "Set maximum triangles" and enter a value half the size of the number shown. If that fixes the problem then the problem was related to drawing too many triangles in the preview. You can experiment with different value, the larger the number the "better" the preview quality.
If this does not work, we can try some more things. Thanks,
Joe

I checked the max triangle box and change the maximum triangles from 100000 shown to 50000. I then exited the configuration menu and loaded my design. I went back to the config menu and it was once again 100000. I changed it again but every time I went back to the menu it was set to it's original value.
I also tried simply defining a default part using the new menu. As soon as I switched to 3D view the program crashed. The problem appears to be specific to this computer (HP Compaq DC5100). I have an IBM Thinkcentre that I loaded the program on and opened up the same design. I was able to switch between Design and 3D View on that problem with no issues. I think the issue may be related to the graphics chip set on this computer. I have attached a copy of the dump file if you would like to look it over.
There is a minimum number of triangles for the manual set, that is why it will only show 100,000. You might need to exit the application for the changes to take effect.
Can you verify if you can see the 3D preview without doing anything besides defining the part? It should show a simple cube.
Finally, if you can see a preview the basic part but are still having problems, go to the 3D view and look for "Options" on the 3D Display tab. Select "Low Quality" and then try and load your design. If you still have a crash, in the short term you can choose "No preview"

The problem appears to be specific to just this HP Compaq computer and I have not been able to duplicate it on any of my other machines. You can go ahead and close out the ticket(s) and my solution will be to run the program on a different computer.
Thanks!

Hi Joe,
