It has been a year and a half since the last TDM update and with MinGW64/GCC 6.1.0 and 6.2.0 being very stable I was wondering if the TDM project will be updated at some point or if this project is more "on hold"?
I was wondering if the TDM project will be updated at some point or if this project is more "on hold"?
I also am interested in the answer to this question. Personally for me, it would be a great annoyance to have to migrate, yet again, to another GCC build for Windows.
Hopping from one dying binary distribution to another is tiring, especially if they all have their signature quirks for the user to learn. For example it's very nice that in TDM-GCC the C++11 <thread> library and std::to_string() functions actually work. However, if I go back to the "original" MinGW, my otherwise standard-compliant C++ programs may fail to compile unless I "fix" them. This is a stupid situation.
