TCVP 0.2.0

After a long delay and lots of work, TCVP 0.2.0 is ready for download. There have been major changes made to the internal design. In addition, many minor improvements and bugfixes have been made.

TCVP 0.1.7

Yet another release has seen daylight. Version 0.1.7 has experimental DVD menu support and a bunch of minor fixes and improvements.

TCVP 0.1.5

Finally, after too long a delay, TCVP 0.1.5 is ready for download. The major new features are remote control, daemon mode, and a frame dumper. Add to this a bunch of bugfixes.

0.1.4 package fixed

The tarballs of TCVP 0.1.4 were unfortunately missing a file. New tarballs are in place. Remember to update the configuration file.

TCVP 0.1.4 released

This new release contains both feature enhancements and bugfixes. Among the new/improved features are AAC, Sun/NeXT AU and AIFF file format support, AAC encoding and decoding, Xing header support and improved CDDB support.
Notable bugs that have been fixed are a crash in the audio output module, and some Makefile bugs. The configuration file must be updated. Run "make install-conf", to install the new file. The new configuration file includes profiles for encoding and copying/multiplexing files.

TCVP 0.1.3 released

The version number of TCVP has now reached 0.1.3. This version fixes a bug present in 0.1.2 that prevented playing more than a few files. Due to changes in the audio output layer, the configuration file must be updated, or you will have to enjoy silence. Simply replace the old file with the one created in the build directory.

TCVP multimedia framework released

TCVP is a configurable multimedia framework for UNIX-like systems. It can be used out-of-the-box as a player, transcoder, or streaming server. It can also be used as part of other applications.
