When the tcpfile is used , it creates certain files to read and write data into. You may want the tcpfile program to properly create a folder somewhere to store all these required files rather than allowing the program to sprinkle these files across user desktops.

Yes, absolutely.
The next release is distributed in an archive already containing some files and sub folders. This will make it clear, that it needs it's own place. We thought about an installer, but for the moment an archive seems to be the optimal solution.
