[Tclxml-users] anyone ever try to link libxml2 statically?

I'm trying to work around a version conflict that my users
are encountering on SPARC Solaris machines.  So I thought
that I might just add a flag to link -lxml2 into tclxml
statically.  

Unfortunately, what I get instead are a series of error msgs
about text reelocation errors when tclxml atttempts to ccreate
the libTclXML_libxml2*.so file ...

Has anyone else seen that?
