I have successfully compiled, installed and loaded TclXML/libxml2 on
Mac OS X and MS Windows XP/2K.  In both cases this is with libxml2-2.6.9
(btw the structured error handling was introduced circa 2.6.6).  I'll be
building on Linux ASAP to complete pre-release testing.

All I can suggest is that you submit a bug report.  Please include
platform details so I can try and isolate the problem.
