How did you do the install? Is it a pure-Tcl installation or did you compile the expat extension? Did the installation create a 'tclxml-2.4' directory in the Tcl directory's 'lib' directory? If so, is there a pkgIndex.tcl file in there? Are the file permissions wrong? Perhaps when you did the install with root privileges the files ended up not being readable by non-root users?
