The description for select says, in the first sentence "files being ready for for reading", which should be "files being ready for reading".

Also, in the paragraph that begins "The files specified by the readFileIds list" ends with the sentence:
Select considers data pending in the stdio input buffer for read files as being reading for reading, the files do.
not have to be unbuffered.

The period after "do" should be removed.
