[Tcltextedit-users] Is it possible to to bring up new files from the Linux command line in the same tcltextedit window that is already running?

I'm using tcltextedit on Linux 7.3 to open documents from the command 
line.  Each time I open a new document, it comes up in a new tcltextedit 
window.  Is there a command or preference that will make new files to edit 
come up into the same tcltextedit window that is already open?
